Melissa Joan Hart Says This Is the Biggest Challenge of Raising Boys

You may recognize her from the hit ’90s TV series Clarissa Explains It All or Sabrina the Teenage Witch, but Melissa Joan Hart has since taken the throne as Queen of her own little family, the mother of three boys (Mason, Brady and Tucker) and co-founder (with her husband, Mark) of American inspired boyswear line, King of Harts.

But such a busy schedule can really take a lot out of a mom, especially with a brood of boys. We asked Hart what she feels is the biggest challenge of raising Mini Misters and here’s what she had to say:

“I think moms of boys need to have tons of energy and just expect that your house won’t be neat again until they are grown and move out,” she advised.

“I’ve had to learn that playing with my boys is much more important than any household chore or email. It’s a hard thing to remember, but I truly try to keep in mind that they are only young once. They won’t always want to snuggle in your bed after a nightmare or hold your hand at the zoo or give you giant bear hugs when they get off the bus. You need to soak up every minute and be present for the little moments.”
