How Kourtney Kardashian’s Kids Eat Gluten and Dairy Free

If you have children with food sensitivities or allergies, deciding what to put on the table each meal can be challenging. But you are not alone! Many households have gone gluten or dairy-free (or both!), including Mini cover mom Kourtney Kardashian.

In a recent post on her app, the mom of three shared she’s avoided both gluten and dairy in both her diet and her kids’ and has no plans of going back any time soon. Kardashian says she’s noticed positive changes in her children, given that after undergoing muscle testing, they’ve discovered they each have a sensitivity to corn, gluten and dairy.

So how do you keep up with such a Mini meal plan on a daily basis? Kardashian shares a few ideas for each meal of the day:

Breakfast. The easiest meal of the day, according to Mason, Penelope and Reign’s mom. Waffles made from a gluten and dairy-free mix, along with scrambled eggs or cereal. Her milk choices include homemade almond milk, organic coconut or organic rice milk.

Lunch. “Carrots and celery with hummus and a gluten-free rice tortilla with sliced turkey meat or turkey dogs— no bun,” she says. “Penelope and I love salads, so we usually eat a big yummy one for lunch.”

Dinner. Rice or gluten-free pasta, steamed vegetables and protein like chicken, turkey or fish.

The moral of the story? It’s all about finding the right balance, especially when working around travel plans and other Mini events. “Of course, we pick our battles and I do let the kids have popcorn at the movies and a churro at Disneyland,” Kardashian explains. “But for birthday parties, which can sometimes be every weekend, I bring extra gluten and dairy-free cupcakes and they are happy with that.”
